Palazzo Farnese

Palazzo Farnese # beautiful Italy # North of Rome # Palazzo Farnese at Caprarola is so many things in just a one place! Its 16th century’s Pentagon was designed by a great architect who lies now in the Pantheon of Rome. This extraordinary Palace has dozen of halls on two levels that contain very extended and detailed frescoes, but it works also as a Villa.

Oh yes, because Palazzo Farnese has two Gardens, the Winter Garden and the monumental Summer Garden uphill built on several terraces where the Gran Cardinal Farnese enjoyed his free time, in the middle of Fountains, Sculptures and the Palazzina del Piacere.
